Garlic Prawns Recipe

Jan 14, 2025Herman Pobrati

You’ll love our easy garlic prawns recipe appetiser because it’s delicious. Prawns are sautéed in Little Olive Oil's extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) with aromatic garlic, a hint of chilli and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Serve with warm crusty bread to soak up the flavourful oil, making this a quick garlic shrimp starter dish for pescetarians. Garlic prawns can also be served over pasta, rice, or fresh green salad.

How to make Garlic Prawns

Pat the prawns dry with kitchen paper and season them lightly with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, if desired.

In a large frying pan, heat the Little Olive Oil EVOO over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until it becomes fragrant, be careful not to let the garlic burn.

Add the prawns to the frying pan along with the chilli flakes.

Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until the prawns turn pink and are cooked through.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the prawns and give everything a good stir to combine the flavours.

Transfer the garlic prawns to a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the delicious oil.

Our top tip is to store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.

You can reheat gently in a frying pan until warmed but avoid overcooking to prevent the prawns from becoming rubbery.
